September 17, 2015, 6:45 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday, 17th September:

An evening in support of St Fagans National History Museum.

This is not a Cymmrodorion event, but we are pleased to share the details on behalf of the National History Museum.

Venue: St. James’ Court Hotel, 54 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AF

Time: 6.45pm Drinks 7.30pm Dinner

Thursday 17 September 2015 at the St James’s Court Hotel, London for an evening of feasting and entertainment in the spirit of Llys Rhosyr, the medieval court where Llywelyn the Great once ruled in the Kingdom of Gwynedd. This event is organised with support from Wales in London.

From the stage and screen to sports and science, illustrious friends will take their cue from the courtly traditions of Llywelyn and entertain guests throughout the night through poetry, prose, drama and music. Eddie Butler, Gerald Davies, Huw Edwards, Catrin Finch, Sean Fletcher, Sian Lloyd, Robert Pugh, Matthew Rhys, Prof Alice Roberts and Owen Teale, as well as the next generation of young musicians from Wales, have already generously pledged their support, commitments permitting. We are all set for a great night!

This event will support “Making History” a major £26 million redevelopment at St Fagans, Cardiff. Part of the project is the reconstruction of the great hall from Llys Rhosyr, Anglesey, one of the most exciting and ambitious archaeology projects ever attempted in Wales.

Tickets include a three course meal, and are available here.
